Hello. This is Terry Scott
the ABC Consultant asking you on this Thankful Thursday if your life has become
routine? I’m the author of TheChicken that Soared, and right now am giving you FREE SHIPPING on Anything With an Imprint from
BrandingMore.com, which is the “B” in ABC.
So let’s get to being
thankful.
“Sometimes we spend so
much time and energy thinking about where we want to go that we don't notice
where we happen to be.”
― From Texas with Love
I often ask people, “How
in the world are you doing”? I should probably ask how in “their” world are
they doing.
As in Dan’s quote, where are you and I now? Sure we have
goals we want to reach before Sunset Saturday (if you’ve been following along)
but let’s remember to stop and smell the roses. Have faith that things will be
OK, and rest in that.
Take time to breathe. Really.
I will share that right now I have some challenges. But
those challenges spur within me feelings and those feelings make me know that I’m
alive. How about you. I’m sure you have challenges. And I’m not talking about
big “world” changes like “peace on Earth” or changing the social climate of
America. I’m talking about your world. Paying the bills, putting food on the
table, keeping a great relationship with your kids, spouse, and even your boss
(even if that boss is you).
“Do not indulge in dreams
of having what you have not, but reckon up the chief of the blessings you do
possess, and then thankfully remember how you would crave for them if they were
not yours.”

Think about what you did not have yesterday or last year
and what you do now have. You “craved” what you have some time in the past. Now
that you’ve reached this, yes crave some more because we are “growing” beings;
we want to and need to grow in all aspects of our lives. But part of that
craving and growing is knowing what you have and being grateful.
“One of the main reasons
that we lose our enthusiasm in life is because we become ungrateful..we let
what was once a miracle become common to us. We get so accustomed to his (God’s)
goodness it becomes a routine..”

Don’t lose your enthusiasm for life. Sadly during this
crazy time, some people do not think that their life is worth living. If that’s
you, listen to me right now, you have value and you are needed to complete this
world with you and your “puzzle piece”.
So here’s your “assignment” please do this in the next 5
minutes. Call or text someone and tell them they are valuable. And thank them
for what they do, for what they’ve done for you and others. And maybe send out
(yes in “snail mail”) 2 or
3 “thank you” cards.
Feelin’ blue? Get your mind off you!
Take it a day at a time and breathe.
